For Newly Diagnosed Parents

Foundations: The First 24 Months

A guided 4-week intensive designed to support parents during the first 24 months after an autism diagnosis or significant developmental concerns.

5 spots remain for the March 2nd Cohort

What Foundations Is

Foundations is a guided, high-touch 4-week intensive designed to support parents during the most critical early stage after diagnosis or significant developmental concerns.

This is not a self-paced course or a one-size-fits-all program. Foundations is built for parents who want clarity, confidence, and direction — without being overwhelmed by information, opinions, or pressure to make immediate decisions.

We meet parents where they are and help them move forward with intention.

How to Enroll

Foundations is available for direct enrollment. You're welcome to join whenever you're ready.

Ready to begin?

Enroll directly in Foundations and start your journey toward clarity and confidence.

Want clarity first?

Some families choose to begin with an optional Parent Strategy Session—a supportive conversation to ensure Foundations is the right fit and answer any questions you may have.

The strategy session is optional, not required. Choose the path that feels right for your family.

  • Are ready to engage, reflect, and build a clear plan

Who It's Not For

  • Not ready to engage in reflection and guided decision-making

The 4-Week Journey

1

Understanding Your Child

Clarity Before Action

The first step is slowing down and gaining a deeper understanding of your child.

Parents will:

  • Reframe diagnosis and concerns through a parent-first lens
  • Identify strengths, needs, and regulation patterns
  • Separate fear-based decisions from informed ones
  • Clarify what actually needs attention right now

Outcome:

Parents move from reaction to understanding.

2

Navigating Systems Without Losing Yourself

This week focuses on understanding systems without letting systems take control.

Parents will:

  • Learn how school and support systems function
  • Understand their role as a parent advocate
  • Prepare for conversations and meetings with confidence
  • Recognize helpful support versus unnecessary pressure

Outcome:

Parents feel prepared instead of intimidated.

3

Building a Parent-First Plan

With clarity established, we move into planning.

Parents will:

  • Prioritize goals at home and in educational settings
  • Decide what to pursue now, later, or not at all
  • Align decisions with family values and capacity
  • Avoid over-therapy and burnout

Outcome:

Parents leave with a realistic, personalized plan.

4

Moving Forward With Confidence

The final week focuses on sustainability and confidence.

Parents will:

  • Prepare for upcoming transitions
  • Advocate calmly and clearly
  • Trust their instincts
  • Know when and how to seek support moving forward

Outcome:

Parents feel grounded, capable, and confident — not alone.

What Makes Foundations Different

Foundations is:

Parent-first, not system-driven
Guided, not self-paced
Relational, not transactional
Clarity-focused, not information-heavy

We are not here to overwhelm parents with options. We are here to help parents make thoughtful decisions that fit their child and family.

What Parents Are Saying

"When we decided we needed to homeschool our son, we had no idea where to begin. His ABA therapist strongly recommended we contact Merrie, and we're glad we did. Merrie guided us through her Foundations framework and provided engaging lessons, consistent parental feedback, and both paper and electronic homework and activities for our son. She also set us at ease as first-time homeschoolers, making the process feel manageable and clear. Highly recommend - 10/10!"
