IEP advocacy for Pace families.

Working with Santa Rosa County District Schools families through Red Flag Audits, Coaching Sessions, and full IEP advocacy. 15–25 minutes from Pensacola for in-person meetings; virtual nationwide.

Pace's schools, in plain English.

Pace is the fastest-growing community in Santa Rosa County, and that growth has put pressure on local schools — Pace Elementary, Sims Middle School, and Pace High School. Class sizes have grown faster than ESE staffing in some buildings, and inclusion supports have been thinned in places where they were once stronger.

What we see in Pace IEPs: Pace IEPs we've audited frequently show the under-staffing pattern: services drafted at minimum frequencies, behavior supports written generically, and accommodations that read like checklists rather than tailored plans. The eligibility process itself usually moves on schedule, but the IEP content often needs work.

Merrie brought clarity in the meetings by explaining things we didn't understand and ensuring our voices were heard. Because of her guidance, our son received services thoughtfully tailored to his specific needs.

Holly Montgomery

Merrie was so helpful through the whole process. She really took the time to explain the information, answer all of my questions, and advocate for the most successful plan for my boy. She took all of the overwhelming uncertainty out of it.
